About the project
73 units of heavy machinery. Two destinations: Russia and Belarus. A single continuous flow across the Eurasian Economic Union. When Zoomlion chose a partner for this operation, the task was clear but demanding: move an entire fleet out of the Khorgos plant and deliver every unit to its destination on time.
Key Project Parameters
Route: Khorgos (China) – Russia, Belarus, length over 5,300 km.
Border crossings: Khorgos (PRC / Kazakhstan), then transit through Kazakhstan to the EAEU countries.
Volume: 173 units of heavy construction and mining equipment.
Transport: 173 convoys — low-bed trailers and flatbed carriers depending on cargo type
Cargo characteristics
Zoomlion construction and mining excavators across multiple categories — 14 to 35 tonnes — plus mining dump trucks up to 35 tonnes.
The cargo was mixed. Some units fell within standard dimensions. Others — over 3.5 m tall and 3.2 m wide — required special transport procedures, permits, and low-bed trailers. That heterogeneity defined the entire logic of the project.
It was precisely this heterogeneity that determined the entire logic of the project.
Execution Details
Equipment selection: low-bed trailers were used for oversized units, keeping the total height down and allowing unobstructed passage under bridges and overpasses. Larger machinery was transported on flatbeds. Each unit required its own individual solution.
Uninterrupted flow: 173 convoys had to cross border checkpoints continuously, without piling up. We structured the delivery schedule so cargo moved in a steady stream — from receipt at Khorgos all the way to delivery at facilities in Russia and Belarus.
Customs clearance: we handled full export documentation for all units leaving China and organized transit through Kazakhstan in compliance with EAEU regulations.
Special permits: all necessary permits for oversized cargo were obtained along the route.
Results
All 173 Zoomlion units were delivered to their destinations in Russia and Belarus. No losses, no significant transit delays, no missed deadlines.
- A fleet of 173 units mobilized and dispatched within a single operation
- Steady flow maintained across multiple international borders
- Full customs coverage for the entire route
- Each unit transported on the trailer type matched to its specific dimensions
Zoomlion wasn't one shipment. It was 173 individual solutions packed into one continuous operation. This project proved that scale isn't a constraint — it's just a different level of planning.
